A 200 year old stone cottage set in five acres of gardens and orchards, with a private heated outdoor pool open every June, July and August. Decorated with antiques and original works of art, and just two miles from the Georgian market town of Ashbourne. The cottage is let as a whole to one party at a time, never by the room.
All on one floor, with steps to the entrance and plenty of parking. Two bedrooms (one double, one twin) and a large sitting room make this a genuine home from home, whether you're two or four.
A woodburning stove in the sitting room, a family-sized kitchen with a DeLonghi bean-to-cup machine, and crisp white linen throughout. Travel cot and high chair available on request.
The private outdoor pool is open all day, every day, through the summer. Table tennis in the garage, croquet on the lawn, and walking country from the back door towards Tissington, Dovedale and beyond.

Private, heated, and open to you all day, every day, June through August. Swimming towels provided. Full pool rules are sent with your booking confirmation and reprinted in the house book.

The pool is a summer thing. The cottage is not. Come in autumn, winter or early spring and you will find the log burning stove and a first basket of logs waiting, ready to curl up in front of after a long walk on the dales.
There are plenty of books and games for the evenings, crisp white linen on the beds, and the same five acres to wander before the light goes. Guests who come back tell us it is equally cosy, and as much of a treat in the winter as it is in the summer.
2 to 4 guests. One double, one twin. Just as at home for a couple as for a family.
One small, well-behaved dog welcome, £35 per stay. Please ask in advance.
Check-in from 3pm, check-out by 10am. Minimum stay 2 nights (4 over Christmas and New Year). Keys and directions confirmed nearer your stay. Find us with what3words: ///poets.physics.promoted
